Troubleshooting
Why does my candle have a smoky or woody smell while burning?
That smoky or campfire-like scent is usually a sign that your wick needs a trim. Wood wicks should be trimmed before every burn and kept shorter than you would a cotton wick, ideally to about 1/8" above the wax. Just enough to light easily. If you notice that woody smell while your candle is burning, go ahead and blow it out, give the wick a quick trim, and relight. You'll notice a big difference.
Why has my wax changed colour after burning?
No need to worry. Many of our fragrances contain vanillin, a natural component that has the aroma of vanilla bean, but can cause the wax to darken over time or after burning. This is completely normal and has no effect on the performance or scent of your candle. It will burn and smell exactly as it should.
Why is my candle burning down the middle?
This is called tunnelling, and the first burn is the key to preventing it. We recommend keeping your candle lit for 4 hours on the first burn to allow the melt pool to spread across the most of the candle surface. This sets your candle up for an even, beautiful burn every time after.
Why is there wax left on the sides of my jar?
Our candles are slow burning and it can take until your 3rd or 4th 4-hour burn for the wax along the sides to fully melt down. This is a common feature of natural coconut wax. Rest assured, none of the scent will go to waste. Our wax is designed to burn down before it burns out, so every bit of it will eventually catch up on subsequent burns.

What is your processing time on orders?
Once an order is placed, we do our best to get orders shipped out as quickly as possible. Usually within 1-2 business days of receiving the order, sometimes same day!
Can I buy your candles in person?
Yes! Please check out our Popup Events page for our upcoming in-person events. Come and say hello.
What wax do you use?
We use a custom blend of coconut and soy waxes, with a miniscule amount of food-grade mineral wax which aids in a smooth, creamy texture, increased scent strength and stabilty.
What fragrances do you use?
We exclusively use fragrances free of phthalates, parabens and other common carcinogens. Most of our scents also contain small amounts of essential oils for added depth and authenticity.
Do you use any additives or other chemicals?
No, we do not use any additives or chemicals. Our candles are made of wax, fragrance, essential oils and wooden wicks only.
Does my candle have a shelf life?
Our candles do not expire, but we typically recommend burning your candle within 6-12 months of purchase to prevent any possible scent or performance issues.

Refunds/Payments
What is your return / refund policy?
We offer returns within 14 days of receiving your order. The item must be unused and in original condition. Please note, the customer is responsible for paying for the return postage for any returned items.
